HE’S TRUE, SHE’S THROUGH 3

It has been 4 months since their first date and they had both fallen deep in love with each other, but hadn’t said a thing about it. They had bonded so much, it scared both of them. Once, Tony was sick and Sandra was having a feeling that something was wrong with him. Immediately she got to his house, he was on his way to the hospital. He also had those moments when he could say where she actually was.

One evening, as they had their usual night stroll, Tony decided it time to set things straight with Sandra. He stopped walking and started looking around like he was being chased by the cops. Sandra asked him what was wrong, but he didn’t reply, he just continued with his search. Suddenly, he stopped, turned and gazed at her. She was becoming really scared. He then grabbed her by the hand and led her to one of the park benches nearby. “Tony, can you please tell me what is wrong with you, you are really frightening me” she asked as he put her down on the park bench. He started to rub his laps and take deep breaths. As she was about to talk, he lunged in and kissed her. 5 minutes later, he pulled back leaving Sandra dazed and confused. He got up, picked her up and led her home. She was still in shock when he left her at the door of her house. Glen opened the door and saw the look on both their faces. He almost burst into laughter, but he held it in as he led his confused daughter into the house.  Tony, who acted like the kiss was nothing to him, had weak knees and fell after taking a few steps. He managed to get himself up after laughing at himself and went home.

The next morning, as Sandra entered the bathroom, as she stared at herself in the mirror, she flashed back to that kiss again and again. She was still so confused, so she decided to go to her church and pray. When she got downstairs, her parents saw her and started laughing, imitating her look the previous night. She wanted to laugh, but she just rushed out. Her parents didn’t stop laughing for a while.

At the church, as she prayed, the Reverend saw her. “Sandra, this is really unusual of you, I always see you in the afternoons, and hope all is well”. She explained everything to him and asked if she was doing the right thing dating him. He told her that if she believed he was the right guy and that he had no other intentions, she was alright. She was very ripe for marriage, so it was not a problem. She hugged him and left.

Meanwhile, Mr. Weak knees had also gone to his church seeking the same thing. On his way back, he saw a car parked in front of his house. When he got in, he was shocked to see Debby in his living room, watching a movie. Debby was Tony’s first crush who turned out to be his worst nightmare. He stood for a while in shock, then he burst in anger “how in the hell did you get my keys?” “I always had it sugar flakes; I never gave mine…….” Tony interrupted her “if you know how you got in, just take your bag and get out, now”. She knew in the first place she wasn’t welcome, Tony thought to himself, so why then would she come back. As she was leaving, she turned and forced a kiss on him. When he succeeded in pushing her away, it was too late. Sandra was standing not too far away. Tears slowly rolled down her checks as she got into dad’s car and drove off. Immediately he ran after her. Seeing he would not catch up, he used the short path through the bushes and beat her to the house. She met him at the front porch. He started begging her on his knees, explaining all he could about what happened, but it all fell on deaf ears. She just walked past him into the house and slammed the door.

After knocking for 5 hours, her dad came back to meet him. He explained everything to him. Seeing how worn out the boy was from all the crying and knocking, he told him to go home and come back tomorrow, that he was going to talk to her on his behalf. Back home, he found Debby still in the house. “I will not tell you to leave this place again”. Seeing how angry he was, she got up. As he was about to go, he said “but if I lose her, pray you never see me again, now get out.”
